A local Pastor has been arrested following allegations of sexual assault against a female member of his church choir. The incident reportedly occurred last night after a choir rehearsal at the church premises.
According to police reports, the victim, a young chorister whose identity is being protected for her safety, claims she was assaulted by the pastor in his office after the rehearsal concluded.
She alleges that the pastor coerced her into staying behind under the pretense of discussing choir matters, but once alone, he forcefully assaulted her.
The victim managed to leave the premises and immediately contacted authorities, who responded swiftly. The pastor was taken into custody in the early hours of today June 2, 2024, and is currently being held at the police station pending further investigation.
