Nigerian afrobeats artist and entrepreneur, Oluwatosin Ajibade, better known as Mr Eazi, has passionately advocated for increased collaboration in the realms of education and sports across the African continent. In a recent interview, the music star emphasized the pivotal role these sectors play in driving progress and creating opportunities for the youth.

Reflecting on his recent visit to Rwanda, Mr Eazi expressed his admiration for the country’s efforts in promoting sports development. He specifically highlighted his attendance at the Basketball Africa League (BAL) finals, where he witnessed the best of African basketball talent on display.

“This event showcased the best of African basketball talent, and undoubtedly my presence underscored support for the continent’s sports growth and development,” he stated.

Beyond his love for sports, Mr Eazi’s visit to Rwanda was a multifaceted endeavor aimed at exploring potential partnerships and collaborations in various sectors. As an entrepreneur himself, he engaged with Rwandan companies, seeking avenues to expand his Choplife gaming company and increase his impact on African youth and the creative industry.

Education, however, remains a core focus for the artist. During his Rwandan visit, Mr Eazi met with representatives from the Ministry of Sports to discuss potential collaborations aimed at creating more opportunities for young people through sports development programs.

Moreover, he engaged with the education sector, exploring partnerships for his Choplife Foundation. The goal is to leverage his commitment and resources to provide opportunities and platforms for deserving students in the region. “These partnerships aim to leverage my commitment toward providing resources, opportunities, and platforms for deserving students in the region,” he explained.

Mr Eazi’s call for greater collaboration in education and sports stems from his firm belief that these sectors are the bedrock of any forward-thinking nation. “As Africans, I believe we need to be more deliberate about creating the right environment for learning,” he asserted, underscoring the importance of prioritizing education across the continent.

The artist’s advocacy aligns with a growing recognition of the transformative power of education and sports in fostering personal growth, fostering unity, and driving socio-economic development. Collaborative efforts in these domains can unlock opportunities for young Africans, nurturing their talents and equipping them with the skills and resources they need to thrive.

Through his platform and influence, Mr Eazi is using his voice to amplify the need for stakeholders, governments, and the private sector to come together and invest in education and sports initiatives.

By forging strategic partnerships, he believes that more resources can be channeled towards creating conducive learning environments, supporting talented athletes, and providing pathways for young Africans to excel.

As Africa continues its journey towards sustainable development, the call for collaboration in education and sports echoed by Mr Eazi resonates with the continent’s aspirations for a brighter future for its youth.
