Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is currently mourning the loss of his mother-in-law, Hajiya Asiya Gauyama.
This unfortunate news was officially confirmed in a statement issued by Edwin Olofu, Chief Press Secretary to Ganduje, in Abuja on Monday.
Hajiya Asiya Gauyama was the esteemed mother of Prof Hafsatu Ganduje, wife of Abdullahi Umar Ganduje. The statement expressed deep sympathy and condolences to the entire Ganduje family during this difficult time.
By Islamic customs, a funeral prayer will be held in Kano today, followed by her interment. The statement reads, “With deep sorrow and heartfelt sympathy, we announce the passing of Hajiya Asiya Muhammad Gauyama, beloved mother of Prof Hafsatu Ganduje, wife of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the National Chairman of the APC. Hajiya Gauyama was a highly respected matriarch, known for her unwavering dedication to her family, community, and faith.
“Her demise is a great loss, not only for her immediate family but also for all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. The funeral prayer will take place today at 2 PM at the residence of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Miyangu Road in Kano state.”
