In a shocking incident that has left the community of Owode Imeko Afon in Ogun State in dismay, a 33-year-old man identified as Sodiq Omolade, reportedly a known cultist, has been accused of murdering a 40-year-old man, Itakure, with an axe.
The tragic event unfolded earlier today following an altercation between the two men at a local party. Eyewitnesses reported that the disagreement, though initially settled, escalated when Sodiq, harboring unresolved anger, left the scene and returned with an axe. Without warning, he attacked Itakure, inflicting fatal injuries.
The police have since apprehended Sodiq Omolade, who is currently in custody and awaiting further questioning.
