Residents of Ado Ekiti were stunned today as an alleged internet fraudster, identified as Aina Adeoti, was reported to have suddenly run mad in the city center.
Eyewitnesses recounted that Aina, who was well-known in the community for his ostentatious lifestyle, began exhibiting erratic behavior around noon.
The incident occurred near the popular round-about, Adebayo, where Aina was seen tearing his clothes and shouting incoherently about being haunted by his victims’ spirits.
Onlookers quickly gathered, recording the bizarre scene with their phones. Many were shocked, as Aina had recently been flaunting expensive cars and lavish parties, with few suspecting the source of his wealth.
Local authorities arrived at the scene to manage the situation and ensure public safety. Aina was eventually subdued and taken to the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
