During a town hall meeting organized by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) in Abuja on Friday, Vice President Kashim Shettima addressed and dismissed rumors surrounding President Bola Tinubu’s health.

He praised President Tinubu as a visionary leader with a wealth of ideas capable of transforming the country.

Acknowledging concerns raised about President Tinubu’s health after a misstep during the recent Democracy Day celebration, Vice President Shettima emphasized that the President’s effectiveness in leading the nation is not solely determined by physical strength but by mental acuity and leadership skills.

In an effort to garner support for President Tinubu, Shettima called upon Nigerians to unite behind him. He stated, “We are not preparing for the Olympics, but rather building an institution that thrives on superior ideas.”

The Vice President further emphasized that true leadership is not measured by physical strength but by the ability to generate innovative ideas to address the nation’s challenges.

Addressing the current economic difficulties faced by the country, Vice President Shettima expressed confidence in the Tinubu administration’s capacity to reverse the trend. He remarked, “We have never had such exemplary leadership.

The President has the nation’s best interests at heart and possesses the skills required to drive positive change and progress in our country.”
