A helicopter, believed to belong to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), crashed early in the morning on Monday, July 1, 2024. This event caused a lot of fear and worry among the people in the nearby community.

People who saw what happened said the crash took place around 5 a.m. in Tami village, which is in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Someone from the area, who didn’t want to be named, said the helicopter was on a normal flight when it had some problems that caused it to crash.

Luckily, the pilot knew what to do in an emergency and was able to save himself. No one was hurt in the accident. “The villagers quickly came to the crash site, trying to help and feeling very happy that no one died,” the person added. “We heard a loud noise and ran to see what happened. We were very surprised and very happy to see the pilot alive,” they said.

Soon after, a group of military officers came to the crash site. They made sure the area was safe and started looking into what caused the crash. At the time this report was written, the Nigerian Air Force spokesperson, Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, had not yet replied to a message sent to his phone.
