Residents of Lokoja woke up to shocking news this morning as a local teacher, Mr. Johnson Ejile, was found dead in his apartment.

Mr. Ejile, who taught mathematics at Government Secondary School, was discovered lifeless in his room early today.

Neighbors reported seeing Mr. Ejile yesterday, noting nothing out of the ordinary in his demeanor. “He was his usual self, cheerful and engaging,” said Mrs. Omole, a neighbor who lives in the same building. “We even exchanged pleasantries yesterday evening.”

The tragic discovery was made around 7:00 AM by Mr. Ejile’s landlord, Mr. Lateef, who became concerned after noticing that the teacher’s door was still closed much later than usual.

“He was always up early and out of the house by 6:30 AM. When I didn’t see him, I knew something was wrong,” Mr. Lateef recounted.

Emergency services were promptly called to the scene. Preliminary reports from the police suggest no signs of forced entry or struggle, leaving the cause of death undetermined at this time. An autopsy is expected to be conducted to ascertain the exact cause.

Local authorities have urged residents to remain calm as investigations continue. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
