Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin has been crowned as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland today, Friday, 12th July, 2024.
The coronation ceremony took place at the Labosinde compound, where the family traditionally vested with the right to crown the Olubadan resides.
Following the crowning ceremony on Friday, our correspondent noted that the new Olubadan proceeded to Ile Osemeji in Oja Oba, a place revered for its significance in the divination of Ibadan’s future.
Presently, he remains at Ile Osemeji and is anticipated to soon relocate to the frontage of Mapo Hall, where he will receive the staff of office and other symbols of authority from the state governor, Seyi Makinde.
