In a significant development, the Enugu State Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with the death of Nedu Madueke, a 19-year-old houseboy whose lifeless body was discovered in an uncompleted building in the Independence Layout area earlier this week.

The arrest was made this morning after an intensive investigation. The suspects, identified as David, 24, Fredrick, 23, and Hassan, 23, are currently in police custody and undergoing interrogation.

Nedu Madueke, who was employed by Mr. Nnamani, was reported missing after failing to return home from an errand. His body was later found in a secluded corner of an uncompleted building, prompting an immediate police investigation.

Mr. Nnamani, still reeling from the loss, expressed his gratitude to the police for their swift action. “Nedu was like a son to us, and we are devastated by his death. We hope the authorities will bring those responsible to justice,” he stated.

Preliminary reports suggest foul play, though the exact cause of death is yet to be confirmed. An autopsy is being conducted to determine the circumstances surrounding Nedu’s demise.
