Popular Nigerian media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, widely known as Daddy Freeze, has responded to the N5 million fine imposed on him by the Appeal Court for allegedly committing adultery with another man’s wife.

It can be recalled that a Rivers State High Court in Port Harcourt, on February 18, 2021, had ordered Daddy Freeze to pay N5 million for having an affair with Benedicta Elechi, who was married to Paul Odekina at the time of the incident.

Unsatisfied with the judgment, Daddy Freeze took the case to the Appeal Court seeking redress.

Addressing the allegations during a live show on his Instagram, Daddy Freeze denied the accusations of infidelity.

“I will pay the adultery fine; my wristwatch alone costs over N100 million, but I am innocent,” he asserted. “This happened many years ago. Both the lady and I were going through serious torment, and we met many years later in church; this happened over 12 years ago,” he explained.

Daddy Freeze’s statement sheds light on his perspective and denial of the allegations, emphasizing the challenging period both parties were experiencing at the time.
