Nigerian actress Ini Dima-Okojie recently opened up about her continuous struggle with fibroid tumors, revealing her personal journey and efforts to help other women facing the same condition.

In a heartfelt video shared on Instagram, the ‘Blood Sisters’ star disclosed that despite undergoing invasive surgery in 2020 to remove fibroid tumors, the condition has unfortunately reoccurred.

“My Fibroid Journey! I never imagined I’d be sharing this again after my last update on 30/12/2020, but here I am,” she began. “My journey with fibroids isn’t over. I recently learned they’ve returned. I’ll let you listen to the details in the video,” Ini Dima-Okojie wrote.

Instead of opting for another invasive surgery, Ini Dima-Okojie explained that she has decided to pursue a holistic approach to manage her symptoms this time around. She detailed her decision in the video, sharing insights into her treatment journey and her commitment to exploring natural and less invasive methods for managing fibroids.

Understanding the physical and emotional toll that fibroids can take, she expressed her determination to help others navigate their own fibroid journeys.

To this end, she announced a philanthropic initiative aimed at providing practical support to women in need. “I will be sponsoring scans for 20 women. If you know someone dealing with fibroids who could benefit from this, please share this with them,” she said. This gesture is part of her broader effort to ensure that more women have access to the medical care they need to diagnose and manage fibroids.
