Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana was full of praise for the club’s summer signing Leny Yoro on his unofficial debut.Yoro was drafted straight into the starting Lineup by coach Erik Ten Hag in the club’s second preseason game against Rangers.

Yoro started at centre-back, pairing with club veteran Jonny Evans with André Onana in goal.United won the game 2-0 against Rangers keeping a clean sheet and Onana was full of praise for the new signing.

Leny Yoro joined United from French Ligue 1 side Lille following a transfer saga between Real Madrid and Manchester United who were competing for Yoro’s signature.

Manchester United completed the signing of the 22-year old defender for a reported fee of around £52 million including add-ons.United’s offer was way too high than what Real Madrid tabled for Yoro who had just one year left on his deal before United stepped in.

Despite his arrival, United are still in the market for one more new centre-back as negotiations continue with Bayern Munich and a wait for Everton to lower their asking price for Branthwaite.
