The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba State has appealed to President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to consider increasing political appointments from the state. They believe such actions would foster a deeper sense of inclusion among party members and enhance their ability to contribute to the country’s growth.
During a statement on Tuesday, the party leaders expressed gratitude to the President for appointing Abubakar Dantsoho, a native of Taraba, as the new Managing Director of the Nigerian Port Authority (NPA). They acknowledged the pivotal role that the APC played in securing victory during the recent general elections.
Through their state public secretary, Aaron Artimas, the party conveyed their heartfelt appreciation to the President for choosing Dantsoho for this significant role.
“This appointment marks a significant milestone for us. Dr. Dantsoho, a highly qualified maritime expert from Taraba, has an impressive track record within the Nigerian Port Authority, having previously served as a port manager and Technical Assistant to a former Managing Director,” Artimas stated.
He further emphasized that Dantsoho is an excellent fit for the position due to his extensive knowledge and experience in the maritime sector. The APC members in Taraba are hopeful for additional key appointments that reflect the state’s contributions to the party’s success.
