Super Eagles of Nigeria and OGC Nice striker Terem Moffi has suffered a Career-threatening injury as they prepare for the new Ligue 1 season.

Moffi during a training session was stretchered off and after several assessments by club doctors has been declared out for about six to nine months.

According to reports, the Super Eagles forward suffered an anterior cruciate ligament damage and will be out for months.

” Injured during training, Terem Moffi underwent a further test today.

” The results confirmed a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee”, the club said.

” Take care Terem, you’ll come back stronger”, the club added.

Moffi was part of the team that won silver for Nigeria at the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 in Côte d’Ivoire.

He scored the first penalty in the semi finals against South Africa to help Nigeria advance to the final.

The forward will be missing when Nigeria begins the quest for another AFCON appearance as the qualifiers will start soon.
