In a poignant conversation with fellow housemate Mayor Frosh on Wednesday, Big Brother Naija Season 9 contestant Rhuthee shared her emotional journey of becoming a mother as a teenager.
Rhuthee confessed that she initially felt ashamed of being a teenage parent and struggled with revealing her status to others. Fighting back tears, she recalled, “How do I tell people I have a child? I can’t tell people. I never used to tell people I have a child.”
She explained that only those who knew her from earlier days were aware of her situation. “I was still very ashamed that I had a child. It took me years to come out of that shell.”

Rhuthee then spoke of the profound love and joy her daughter brought into her life, saying, “As she grew, she even showed me more love than I ever did. And I’m like, this girl is the best thing that happened to me.”
