A 5-day leadership and capacity development workshop organised by Akwa Ibom State Government for Permanent Secretaries and Directors in the State Civil Service begins Monday, 5th August, 2024.
It will be declared open by the State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno at Ibom LED Centre, E-Library, IBB Way at 10am with officials from Administrative Staff College of Nigeria, ASCON led by the Director-General, Mrs. Cecilia Gayya as resource persons.
Akwa Ibom State Head of Civil Service, Elder Effiong Essien who briefed newsmen ahead of the event explained that the training is to sharpen managerial skills and equip the Permanent Secretaries and Directors with the necessary leadership strategies for good organizational governance.
Elder Essien thanked Governor Umo Eno for prioritizing workers’ welfare and capacity development and charged participants to take advantage of the training for optimal service delivery.
