On Sunday, Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, expressed doubts regarding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s capacity to address the pressing hardships faced by Nigerians.

In a statement released by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the prophet asserted that Nigerians should prepare for continued difficulties over the next four years, as the current administration lacks effective solutions to remedy the situation.

He emphasized the importance of collective action, urging citizens to contribute their personal resources to support the government.

“Tinubu lacks the answers unless he is either deluding himself or in a dangerous situation. Instead, we should assist the government by pooling our individual resources; it’s essential for churches, mosques, and community organizations to unite,” he stated.

He further remarked that President Tinubu must address the issues within his administration, noting that even extensive public communication efforts will not alleviate the struggles faced by the populace. “No matter how many times he speaks, Nigerians will still endure the hardship. Tinubu can only offer reassurances; we will have to endure another four years of this,” he added.

Primate Ayodele pointed out that the president seems isolated in his efforts, feeling as though he is the only one actively working within his administration.

He reiterated that the current challenges are unlikely to dissipate soon and stressed the necessity for unity among citizens to navigate these tough times.

“People are not rallying around the president; it appears he is carrying the weight of his administration alone. To deny this reality would be self-deceptive. The hardships we face will persist for the foreseeable future. The government must implement cost-cutting measures and reconsider the minimum wage, as complaints will inevitably arise. There are numerous challenges that need addressing, and it’s unlikely Tinubu will resolve them in the next four years,” he concluded.
