The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB) has announced the interview schedule for applicants, which will run from Wednesday, August 14, to Friday, August 23, 2024.

Recently, the board disclosed the results of the Computer-Based Tests (CBT) conducted in Ibadan. According to Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, the board’s chairman, the interviews will be held at the board’s headquarters in Agodi, Ibadan.

Dr. Adeniran revealed that out of 45,827 candidates who took the CBT, only 8,197 achieved the required 50 percent cut-off mark. The interviews will be overseen by Dr. Adeniran and relevant stakeholders from various agencies.

The interview schedule is as follows:

  • Wednesday, August 14: Egbeda and Atisbo Local Government Areas
  • Thursday, August 15: Akinyele, Afijio, and Ibarapa Central
  • Friday, August 16: Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola, Ibarapa East, Ibarapa North, Lagelu, and Iwajowa
  • Monday, August 19: Ido and Ibadan South West Local Government Areas
  • Tuesday, August 20: Saki West, Saki East, Irepo, Oriire, Olorunsogo, Orelope, Ogbomoso North, and Ogbomoso South Local Government Areas
  • Wednesday, August 21: Atiba, Oyo East, Oyo West, Surulere, and Ogo-Oluwa Local Government Areas
  • Thursday, August 22: Ibadan South-East, Ibadan North-East, and Ibadan North-West
  • Friday, August 23: Oluyole and Ona Ara Local Government Areas

Dr. Adeniran instructed all candidates to bring printouts of their application slip, CBT result slip, and interview schedule slip. Candidates are also required to present their uploaded credentials, including proof of local government of origin and residency, date of birth certificate, NIN certificate, original educational certificates, original NYSC certificate (for graduates), and any change of name documents for married women.

The interviews will commence each day at 9 a.m. Dr. Adeniran emphasized the board’s commitment to improving basic education in the state and encouraged candidates to travel safely and behave professionally during the interviews. He also advised all candidates to check their portal for their specific interview dates.
