Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has sharply criticized President Bola Tinubu’s recent speech regarding the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protests. According to Mohammed, Tinubu’s address failed to address the core issues troubling the nation.
During the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) campaign for local government elections in Bauchi, Mohammed shared his thoughts. He stated that Tinubu’s call for protesters to halt their demonstrations and engage in dialogue, particularly on the matter of fuel subsidy removal, was inadequate.
Governor Mohammed argued that the Federal Government should stop making excuses and take responsibility for the country’s problems. He described Tinubu’s speech as lacking substance and failing to address the real challenges.
He emphasized that these issues are not solely Tinubu’s responsibility but are a collective concern for all leaders, from the presidency down to local governments.
Mohammed highlighted that in the North, the situation is dire, with significant public dissatisfaction due to poor governance and widespread hunger. He called for urgent action to address these developmental challenges.
Mohammed also criticized the Federal Government’s policies, stating they are ineffective and have contributed to the nation’s problems. He urged for a change in these policies. Furthermore, he expressed disappointment over the Federal Government’s claims of distributing resources, questioning the effectiveness and transparency of these efforts.
