Former Manchester United Goalkeeper David has agreed to join Serie A side Fiorentina on a one-year deal, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed.

De Gea who will travel to Florence today for his medical has agreed a year deal with an option for a further year with the Italian club.

The Spanish international has been without a club since leaving Manchester United last summer but is set to return to action this season.

The former Spain number one made 415 premier league appearances for Manchester United keeping 147 clean sheets in his 12-year stay at the Manchester.

De Gea was signed by Manchester United great Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2011 in his last year at the club as he won the Premier League before calling it quit in Coaching.

He has won 225 Premier League games with just 91 losses to cap a legendary stay at the club.

He will travel to Italy for the formalities of the deal and final signing of documents.
