Manchester United has agreed a deal in principle for the acquisition of Dutch centre back Matthijs De Ligt and Mazraoui from Bayern Munich.

Both De Ligt and Mazraoui agreed on personal terms with Manchester United weeks ago as they only wanted a move to Old Trafford.

United agreed a €45 million fee plus a €5 million in add-ons for the former Ajax captain De Ligt with €15 million plus €5 million in add-ons for Mazraoui.

Both players had already agreed on a five-year deal with United weeks ago and will be waiting to travel to complete formalities of the deals in Manchester.

Despite the arrival of French centre back Leny Yoro from Lille, United are still seeking to strengthen their defence as they continue to pursue another Bayern Defender Noussair Mazraoui.

Yoro’s injury who could miss up to three months May prove crucial in the coming days as the transfer window appears closer for an end.
