Former Manchester United number one, David De Gea has spoken good of his former club one year after his departure.De Gea left United after spending 12 years at the club with some fantastic seasons.

This summer, after spending one year without a club, the former Spain number one has signed a one-year contract with Serie A side Fiorentina with an option for a further year.

Speaking to Sky sports, the 33-year old took time to praise his former club Manchester United.

David de Gea: “Man United is a top, top club and my heart will always be there”.

“I never thought about retiring, it was just difficult to find motivations for a new chapter after 12 years at a top club like Man United and I finally felt that at Fiorentina”.

De Gea left United as a legend after keeping 147 clean sheets in his 12-year stay at Manchester.
