Bandwidth Global, a leading remote staffing agency based in Ghana, has announced a strategic partnership with Generation, a global nonprofit focused on economic mobility through employment. This partnership is a significant step toward Bandwidth Global’s ambitious goal to connect one million highly skilled African professionals with top global companies by 2034.
The collaboration aims to provide Ghanaian youth with access to remote job opportunities that were previously out of reach. Through this partnership, young job seekers will first undergo one of Generation’s training programs, which are designed to prepare them for the global job market. After completing their training, these candidates will be considered for remote roles within Bandwidth Global’s extensive network of international clients.
Bandwidth Global is known for its expertise in matching African talent with remote jobs around the world. By joining forces with Generation, the company plans to create a strong pipeline of skilled professionals from Ghana who are ready to excel in various global roles. The partnership is expected to have a lasting impact on the lives of many young people in Ghana by opening doors to meaningful, well-paying careers.
Carl Koranteng, CEO of Bandwidth Global, expressed his excitement about the partnership, saying, “Working with Generation marks a significant step toward fulfilling our mission to open up global work opportunities for African talent. This collaboration is pivotal in realizing our vision by 2034, helping us to empower Ghanaian youth with the essential skills needed for successful, sustainable careers with global companies.”
Graduates of Generation’s programs will be equipped with the skills needed for remote roles in areas like digital customer support, web development, data analysis, and digital marketing. These skills are in high demand among global employers, and the partnership aims to connect talented Ghanaian youth with these opportunities.
Marylin Schlamkow, Global Employer Partnerships Lead for Generation, highlighted the importance of this partnership, stating, “We are delighted to be exploring a new employer partnership with Bandwidth Global and are particularly inspired by their goal to connect one million highly skilled African professionals with leading companies worldwide by 2034. We are committed to supporting young people from Ghana to upskill and find careers as we believe everyone should have access to a good job and income that can help them and their families have a better life.”
Dr. Vandyck Lomotey, Generation Ghana Program Director, echoed these sentiments, noting that the partnership will play a crucial role in the Ghana Remote Online Work (GROW) program, which is run in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation. “Together, we aim to support more than 2,000 young Ghanaians seeking economic mobility and the chance to improve their lives and the lives of their families,” he said. “This partnership with Bandwidth Global will be instrumental in unlocking global remote and online job opportunities for Ghanaian youth.”
Since its launch in 2015, Generation has worked with partners across 18 countries, helping nearly 120,000 people secure jobs. In Ghana, Generation has been offering programs since late 2023, and the partnership with Bandwidth Global is already making an impact. The first group of Generation-trained candidates has been placed in remote customer relationship management (CRM) roles with U.S.-based logistics companies.
Both Bandwidth Global and Generation are committed to long-term investment in the future of Ghana’s workforce. This partnership sets a promising example of how international collaborations can drive economic development and create more accessible career opportunities for young people.
