The organizers of Big Brother Naija have introduced significant changes to the ongoing Season 9, altering key aspects of the game.

According to Thepaan, new twists were added to this season, including the Custodian Challenge, the Head of House (HOH) ballot, and a rule allowing housemates to vote for the eviction of the bottom four pairs.

Under the previous rules, Custodians held the power to influence evictions and the HOH ballot, with the added benefit of being exempt from eviction themselves, unlike the Head of House.

However, during Sunday’s live show, host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu announced a major shakeup. Biggie has now abolished the Custodian Challenge, the HOH ballot, and stripped housemates of their ability to vote for the eviction of the bottom four pairs.

In a return to tradition, Immunity has been restored for the Head of House, but with a twist—while the HOH is now immune, they no longer possess the power to “save and replace.”

The latest rules dictate that housemates will nominate each other for eviction, while viewers retain the ultimate authority to evict through their votes.
