A notorious internet fraudster in Ogun State met his tragic end this morning in a fatal accident that claimed his life and those of his two friends.
The incident occurred barely two days after he purchased a luxurious car, reportedly funded by proceeds from a fraudulent transaction with a foreign woman.
The fraudster, whose identity remains undisclosed, had successfully scammed his victim last week and celebrated his loot by acquiring a flashy car on Sunday. Witnesses say the young man and his friends were out joyriding when the tragic event took place.
The accident reportedly occurred along a major road in Ogun State in the early hours of Tuesday. Eyewitnesses described the scene as horrific, with the vehicle involved in a severe collision, leaving the occupants with no chance of survival.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene but confirmed that all three individuals died on the spot.
Residents and local authorities have expressed concern over the growing trend of young men engaging in cybercrime, also known as “Yahoo Yahoo,” and the consequences it brings. This incident serves as yet another grim reminder of how ill-gotten wealth can end in tragedy.
The bodies of the deceased have been taken to the morgue, while the authorities continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
