Manchester United and Napoli are close to agree on a deal in principle for the permanent transfer of Midfielder Scott McTominay for a reported €30 million

It has however been reported that the Scottish Midfielder has already agreed on a four-year deal with the Serie A outfit.

United has struggled lately especially with the acquisition of Paris Saint-Germain Midfielder Manuel Ugarte as they remain cautious not to break the financial fair play rule.

Ugarte since july has been clear of his intention to join Manchester United but the player’s valuation by both clubs remained a constraint.

A summer departure was expected before a permanent deal could be agreed for any new addition with high wages.

After agreeing to deal with Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku, the Naples-based side have now turned their turn their attention to a Midfielder addition and McTominay has always been their prime target.
