The Expert Group of Institutions has launched an innovative AI-powered e-learning platform called ‘Expert e-learn’ aimed at enhancing the educational experience for pre-university science students. The announcement was made during a launch event in Mangaluru, where Ankush N Nayak, the Director of Information Technology at Expert Group, highlighted the platform’s features and benefits.

Currently available to students enrolled in Expert’s colleges and coaching classes via an Android app, ‘Expert e-learn’ is set to be accessible to the general public in the next academic year. The platform is designed to support students struggling with complex concepts by providing educational videos created by Expert’s teachers. Each topic is divided into concise 10-minute videos, complete with interactive questions to engage students and assess their understanding.

A standout feature of the platform is ‘EZ’, an AI-powered assistant that helps students clarify their doubts. It directs them to specific segments of videos or notes where they can find answers and provides detailed explanations. Unlike traditional search engines or public AI chatbots, ‘EZ’ relies on NCERT and Expert’s proprietary study materials, ensuring that the information is accurate and relevant. Additionally, the AI offers notes in multiple languages, making learning more accessible for students from diverse backgrounds.

Students can ask questions from various angles, request quizzes, and even generate model question papers. The app evaluates their responses and provides key solutions, facilitating a personalized learning experience. Another feature, ‘Expedition’, offers workbooks across subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology, encouraging students to explore concepts from different perspectives to improve their problem-solving skills.

To promote healthy habits, the platform restricts usage between 11 PM and 5 AM. This initiative aims to support students in balancing their study time and well-being.

The launch event also featured notable speakers, including K Ullas Kamath, Rohith Bhat, and Manjunath Bhandary, who underscored the importance of leveraging technology to improve education. The introduction of ‘Expert e-learn’ marks a significant step in the Expert Group’s commitment to enhancing learning and preparing students for future challenges in science and technology.
