American actor and WWE superstar, John Cena, has opened up about his biggest fear—never being ready to be a “great parent.” Despite being married twice, the 47-year-old has yet to have children and recently shared why that might be the case.
In a candid interview with Club Shay Shay, Cena admitted that his fear stems from the belief that he may never be prepared to dedicate the time and effort required to be an exceptional parent.
“My biggest fear is I don’t think I’m personally ready, nor will I ever be, to invest the time it takes to be a great parent,” Cena revealed. “Because I still have a lot to do and I still want to do a lot. I have a wonderful partner, we’ve had open conversations about this. We share the same values.”
He acknowledged that discussing this subject often invites judgment but emphasized that he is content with his decision and where he stands in life.

“It’s a tough subject to talk about because it immediately puts you in a category. People tend to judge. Human nature, we are all judgmental. But I operate under the construct that everyone is okay living their lives. I’m very happy with where I stand. I’ve got a lot of joy and fulfilment in my life,” Cena added.
Cena first married Elizabeth Huberdeau on July 11, 2009, but the couple divorced in 2012. He later tied the knot with Shay Shariatzadeh in a private ceremony in Tampa, Florida, on October 12, 2020, after dating her since early 2019. Both marriages did not produce any children.
