The Kaduna State Police Command successfully thwarted an armed robbery attempt, resulting in the neutralization of one of the robbers, according to a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, on Thursday.

The statement detailed that a police patrol team from the Makarfi Division encountered a group of armed robbers who had blocked the road with logs of wood and stones.

A gunfight ensued upon the police’s arrival, forcing the robbers to retreat into nearby bushes due to the police’s superior firepower. During the exchange, one of the robbers was neutralized, and the police recovered a locally-made pistol and a cartridge.

Additionally, the statement mentioned that Abdul Aziz Abdul Mumin had reported his blue-black Toyota stolen. The vehicle was later spotted in the Hayin Dan Mani area of Kaduna, where the police swiftly tracked its location, conducted surveillance, and successfully recovered the stolen car.
