In a candid post-eviction interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, recently evicted Big Brother Naija ‘No Loose Guard’ housemate Mickey admitted to deceiving his fellow contestants about his age during his time on the show.
Mickey confessed that he told his housemates he was 28 years old when, in reality, he was only 24. He explained that this falsehood was driven by his interactions with fellow contestant Ozee, who often brought age into their discussions. “I’m 24 years old. I lied to Ozee that I’m 28 because of the kind of person he is. He likes to bring age into every conversation,” Mickey revealed.
He shared an incident that particularly bothered him: “There was a time he told me that he was in Nigeria before I was born, I was upset.” This encounter, he explained, led him to advise Fairme to avoid confrontation with Ozee, saying, “I asked Fairme to ignore him and go upstairs because Ozee will never accept defeat.”
Mickey also took the opportunity to apologize for his behaviour towards fellow housemate Wanni. He admitted that he had misjudged her and regretted antagonizing her. “I wouldn’t lie, it took me a long time to understand that Wanni has a soft heart. Apologies for that. Wanni is a very, very soft girl,” he said.
