VP Shettima inaugurates new NDPHC executive management, presides over board’s first meeting

Vice President Kashim Shettima, on Thursday, inaugurated the new executive management of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) and presided over the inaugural meeting of the board.

Engr. Jennifer Adighije, the newly appointed Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NDPHC, expressed optimism about the board’s initial discussions, emphasizing their commitment to driving the company forward.

“We had very promising and fruitful deliberations on how to reposition the company for growth,” Adighije stated. “We are keen on utilizing cutting-edge strategies to propel NDPHC to greater heights by ensuring that we develop new solutions to explore market opportunities within the energy ecosystem.”

Adighije further stressed the importance of providing adequate and reliable electricity to all Nigerians, with a special focus on vulnerable populations. “We understand the significance of adequate and quality electricity for all Nigerians, especially vulnerable communities,” she said.

“Our overarching goal is to foster energy inclusion by bridging electricity access gaps for vulnerable Nigerians in underserved and unserved communities. This aligns with Mr. President’s Renewed Hope Agenda for lighting up Nigeria.”

The board’s discussions mark the beginning of a new chapter for NDPHC, with the leadership team determined to make significant progress in the energy sector to benefit all Nigerians.
