The All Progressive Congress (APC) has launched The Progressive Institute (TPI), a new initiative aimed at enhancing good governance and promoting progressive ideologies within Nigeria’s political landscape.
Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the national chairman of the APC, described the establishment of TPI as a commitment to grassroots engagement, emphasizing that the platform will function as the party’s official think tank for all elected officials affiliated with the APC.
Ganduje highlighted that TPI is designed to enrich the political discourse with principles of transparent leadership and effective governance.
In a related development, Bishop Matthew Kukah of the Kaduna Diocese has urged President Bola Tinubu and the APC to take immediate action to lower fuel prices, citing the severe hardships Nigerians are currently enduring due to high living costs.
Expressing concern over the prevailing hunger in the nation, Bishop Kukah remarked, “I appreciate the presence of political leaders here. However, I must stress that Nigerians are suffering. It is essential to find a way to reduce fuel prices to alleviate the struggles faced by the populace.”
