On Monday, Rivers State Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara will officially launch the newly established Governing Board for the Rivers State Investment Promotion Agency.
As outlined in a memo from the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Tammy Wenike Danagogo, the inauguration ceremony is scheduled for 11 am at the Executive Council Chambers located in the Government House, Port Harcourt.
The memo also instructed the newly appointed board members to arrive and take their seats by 10:30 am, each allowed to bring along two guests.
The board comprises Anga Fubara, SAN, who will chair the group, with Dr. Chamberlain Peterside appointed as Director-General. Other members include Goodliffe Nmekini, Havey Ideozu, and Baritor Lenusikpugi Kpagih, while Mrs. Tamunoibuemi Life-George will fulfill the role of Secretary.
This development follows an Executive Order signed by Governor Fubara on August 5, aimed at facilitating the agency’s formation.
He emphasized that the agency will oversee the increasing inquiries and business interests from investors eyeing Rivers State as their top investment choice.
