In a dramatic turn of events, a 7-month-old baby, Abdul Fatai Edu, who was kidnapped in Epe, Lagos State, has been found alive in Osun State today.
The baby, who was reportedly abducted from his parents’ residence in Epe last week, was discovered by security operatives in a remote area of Osun State, following intense efforts by the Lagos State Police and the collaboration of local vigilante groups.
The incident, which sent shockwaves across the Epe community, sparked a massive search operation for Abdul Fatai after his distraught parents reported the kidnapping to the police. The authorities believe the abductors moved the baby out of Lagos State to avoid detection.
According to a police spokesperson, a tip-off led to the discovery of the baby in a small village on the outskirts of Osogbo. “We received information from a concerned citizen, which led us to a hideout where the child was found.
