Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has implemented a new policy granting two days off per week for officers on Grade Levels 01-14, while those on Grade Levels 15-17 will receive one day off per week.

State Head of Service, Kehinde Onasanya, explained that this initiative aims to alleviate the challenges faced by workers, particularly in managing their commutes. The new policy is expected to offer substantial relief, enhance service delivery, and foster a more motivated and energized workforce.

Onasanya praised Governor Abiodun for his commitment to worker welfare and urged all accounting officers to promptly apply this policy within their respective Ministries, Departments, and Agencies. He emphasized the importance of scheduling the days off in a way that does not disrupt service delivery.

The governor had previously introduced a one-day off policy for all grade levels in July 2023. This latest extension to two days for Grade Levels 01-14 is intended to further ease the financial burden on workers and boost overall productivity.
