In a heartbreaking incident, Chioma, the sister of renowned Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Patoranking, tragically lost her life in a home explosion.
The devastating event occurred in her residence, with Chioma reportedly passing away instantly. Her husband, George, who was severely injured in the blast, succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
The sad news was shared by media personality Cutie Juls on Instagram, who provided details of the incident. According to Cutie Juls, the explosion happened shortly after their child’s housewarming celebration and birthday party.
In an Instagram post, she wrote: “Remember when I posted last week or so that his (Patoranking’s) sister passed away in a gas explosion incident in their home and the husband and child were battling for their lives in the hospital? The husband also couldn’t make it. He just passed away. Patoranking tried so much. Buying tons of blood to help save his brother-in-law’s life so at least his nephew won’t be an orphan. Remember he loves his sister so much. Abeg, his friends should help check on him.”
