The head coach of the Super Falcons Randy Waldrum who led the team to their first Olympics outing after a 16-year drought has tendered his resignation letter to the Nigeria Football Federation.
Reports say he took this decision due to the ill health of his wife.
According to Coach Randy Waldrum’s reported letter of resignation, he wishes the team well.
“It’s been a very difficult few weeks following the Olympics, with my wife’s health issues, and the worries that come with that. After much thought and consideration, I am hereby resigning my position as Head Coach of the Super Falcons.
“This will allow the NFF ample time to find the next manager to take over this incredible squad”.
The 67-year-old former US player built that team into a formidable combination of Skills, Ruggedness, Tenacity, Resilience and Experience.
He went over and beyond to give Nigeria a fine blend of homegrown and abroad Ayers and his 2023 World Cup exploits will remain evergreen in the memories.
