The Kano State Government has donated N100 million to aid victims of the recent floods in Borno State.

The cheque was presented to Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum by Kano State Commissioner of Information Baba Halilu Dantiye, who represented Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Governor Yusuf expressed profound sympathy for the flood victims, calling the crisis catastrophic and urging widespread support.

He emphasized the need for collective efforts and reaffirmed Kano State’s solidarity with Borno, praying for Allah’s protection against future floods.

He highlighted the long-standing, brotherly relationship between Kano and Borno States, offering prayers for the deceased and wishing a swift recovery to the injured.

Governor Zulum thanked Kano State for its generous support, promising that the funds would be used effectively to benefit the flood victims. He noted that this act of kindness reflects the unity and shared commitment of Nigerian states during times of crisis.

The delegation also included Hajiya Amina Sani, Commissioner of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Eradication, and Dr. Danyaro Yakasai, Special Adviser to the Governor on Policy and Social Development. They conveyed their sympathies to the Borno government and its people on behalf of Governor Yusuf.
