Popular streaming platform, Spotify, has honored the 10th anniversary of Wizkid’s hit single “Ojuelegba,” marking a significant milestone in the global rise of Afrobeats.

In a statement by Phiona Okumu, Spotify’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, it was revealed that the track, released in 2014, has garnered over 55 million streams on the platform.

“Today marks the 10th anniversary of Wizkid’s groundbreaking single, ‘Ojuelegba,’ a song that helped define the global rise of Afrobeats and continues to resonate with millions of listeners worldwide,” Okumu stated.

She added that “Ojuelegba’s” journey symbolizes Afrobeats’ global expansion, with the United States, United Kingdom, Netherlands, France, and Nigeria being the top countries streaming the song.
