The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced the release of the 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results, bringing relief to many students who have been eagerly awaiting their results. The results will be officially announced by Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, NECO’s Registrar and Chief Executive, at the NECO headquarters Conference Hall today, September 19, 2024, at noon.

To access their results, students should visit NECO’s official website immediately after the announcement. However, they should be prepared for potential issues such as website overload, incorrect login details, poor internet connection, unpaid fees, website maintenance, and withheld results due to investigations.

To ensure smooth access, students are advised to purchase the required exam checking tokens in advance, have their registration numbers ready, and ensure a stable internet connection on the day of release. If unable to access results immediately, students should remain patient and try again later, as initial high demand may cause temporary access issues.

NECO emphasizes that official results will only be available through their website, and students and parents should be cautious of unofficial sources claiming to provide early access to results. Schools are recommended to designate a staff member to handle bulk result checks to minimize individual access attempts and reduce strain on the system.

The release of these results marks a significant milestone for Nigerian students, potentially impacting their future educational and career paths. NECO officials have expressed confidence in the integrity and timeliness of the result processing, despite challenges faced during the examination period.

According to Professor Wushishi, 60.55% of candidates secured five credits and above in English Language and Mathematics, with 828,284 candidates achieving this feat. The number of candidates with five credits and above, irrespective of English Language and Mathematics, was 1,147,597, representing 83.90%.

Students are encouraged to stay informed through NECO’s official channels for any additional announcements or instructions regarding the results. Those facing persistent issues accessing their results after the release should contact NECO’s customer support for assistance.
