Francis Njoku, an Indrive cab driver accused of stealing a package, has announced his intention to take legal action against Nollywood actress Adunni Ade following a dispute over a delivery.

The altercation began when Adunni Ade publicly accused Njoku of absconding with her package after he allegedly ended their trip prematurely. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the actress expressed her frustration with the ride-hailing service, claiming the driver had cut off communication.

In her post, she said: “@indrive.ng I have contacted you for hours but no response. One of your drivers has stolen my package. He ended the trip before getting to me and not picking up calls.”

Her complaint quickly drew attention, sparking criticism from social media users who condemned both Njoku and the ride-hailing company.

In a subsequent post, Adunni Ade shared that Njoku eventually delivered the package after the company intervened by locking his profile. She also posted screenshots of conversations between herself, Njoku, and her fashion designer, who had initially sent the package.

The situation escalated when Njoku, in the shared screenshots, expressed anger over the public accusation and threatened to take the matter to court. He stated: “You have made nonsense of my image and I have contacted my legal team and we will see you in court. You are not the person that requested the ride. Many human rights lawyers and activists have called me, and I won’t let it go that way. You must render an unreserved apology and ask Instablog to pull the post down.”

In response to his threat, Adunni Ade defended her actions, stating: “One thing about me is I don’t lie nor cheat my fellow beings. When we speak of change, let it start with you. In my whole adult life of ordering and delivering or using services of logistic companies, I have never encountered anyone as rude, ill-mannered, arrogant, uncivilized, and entitled as Francis Njoku.”

The disagreement between the actress and the driver has since sparked heated discussions online, with many awaiting further developments.
