Former Germany international Toni Kroos has reacted furiously after the UEFA referees committee admitted that the incident in Germany versus Spain game should have been a penalty.

Germany claimed to have had a penalty against Spain in their knockout game in the just concluded Euros.

After eliminating Germany, Spain went on to win the Champions.

Months after the incident and the game, UEFA Referees Committee issued a statement to ascertain that Marc Cucurella’s incident was actually a handball.

Kroos responded to the statement, “It took them three months to realise it was a handball, something that almost everyone saw in 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝”.

“Thank you, it wasn’t that big of a deal (ironically)” 😄

“Can I proclaim myself 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧 now that they’ve officially said it was mistake? I don’t think so”.
