The National headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) located in Abuja has received an official court injunction that suspends the party’s congress activities across all tiers within Nasarawa State.

This injunction was communicated via substituted service, consequent to an ex parte application submitted by a group of 16 party members.

This group is spearheaded by Senator Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo, who serves as the representative for Nasarawa South in the Nigerian Senate.

The Nasarawa State High Court, situated in Doma and presided over by Justice Abdullahi Hassan Shams Shama, has mandated a temporary cessation of the PDP’s congress proceedings in the state.

Additionally, the court has approved the applicants’ plea for substituted service and has rescheduled the case for further proceedings on October 3, 2024.

The legal action encompasses notable individuals, including Senator Suleiman Asonya Adokwe, Michael Abdul, Nuhu Angbazo, Musa Elayo, Abdulkarim Usman Ombamas, along with numerous other members of the PDP from Nasarawa State.
