Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a prominent member of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Rivers State, has asserted that no true patriot from Rivers would ever consider targeting public infrastructure.

In an interview on Saturday, Eze addressed a recent bombing incident at the APC secretariat in Port Harcourt that occurred early in the morning.

Eze emphasized that only individuals with selfish motives would contemplate attacking a political party’s premises. “No rational individual would resort to bombing a structure that holds no significance for them, except those looking to gain from such destructive actions,” he stated.

He further remarked that the perpetrators of the blast likely aimed to garner public sympathy for their cause.

Eze called on state security agencies to enhance protection at result collation centers and other key locations ahead of the elections.

Moreover, the APC leader urged local politicians to engage in efforts that foster peace and development within the state. “We must promote peace consistently, and adhere to court orders and rulings; this is fundamental to the functioning of a democratic society,” he concluded.
