The Action Peoples Party (APP) has secured 22 out of the 23 chairmanship positions in the Rivers State local government election.
This was announced on Saturday in Port Harcourt by Justice Adolphus Enebeli, the Chief Election Officer of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC).
Justice Enebeli, while declaring the results, noted that the announcement for Etche Local Government Area has been temporarily suspended as collation of results is still ongoing.
He added that the results for Etche, along with the 319 councillorship positions, will be made public at a later date.
More details are expected as the final results are collated.
