The Nasarawa State chapter of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has officially announced its schedule for the upcoming local government elections set for November 2.
In a statement released on Sunday by Mohammed Audu, the chairman of the party’s Electoral Committee in Lafia, the details were outlined. Mr. Audu specified that the party’s primary election for the Lafita Zone, which includes the local governments of Lafia, Obi, Awe, Keana, and Doma, is scheduled for October 14.
Following that, the primary elections for the Akwanga Zone, encompassing Nassarawa Eggon, Akwanga, and Wamba, will take place on October 15. The Keffi Zone, which consists of Keffi, Kokona, Karu, Nasarawa, and Toto, is set to hold its primary elections on October 16.
The party has assured all candidates that they will be provided with a fair and competitive environment throughout the election process.
