Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has announced a significant initiative to remodel the Nigerian Observer Newspapers, reflecting his administration’s commitment to honoring the legacy of its founders.
Speaking at the commissioning event held in Benin, Obaseki highlighted the newspaper’s historical significance as a training ground for many prominent figures in the media industry who began their careers there and continue to make meaningful contributions today.
The governor emphasized that his administration has successfully revamped the organization by introducing cutting-edge printing technology, aiming to establish the Nigerian Observer as a leading media center within the country.
“Our efforts are focused on ensuring the sustainability of this establishment,” Obaseki stated. “The remodeling of the Nigerian Observer Newspapers demonstrates our resolve to uphold the legacy left by its founders.”
He further noted the importance of the newspaper’s role in shaping the careers of influential media professionals, asserting its ongoing relevance in the nation’s media landscape.
