Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has called upon all stakeholders in national development to embrace a sense of ownership and fulfill their obligations in everyday activities.

He made clear that the path to Nigeria’s greatness lies on collaboration and accountability among its citizens.

Speaking on behalf of the governor, Deputy Governor Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat delivered this message during the 2024 Annual Directors Conference, themed “Business Meets Government Dinner,” held at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Governor Sanwo-Olu articulated that for the nation to achieve greatness, individuals in various roles must act responsibly and contribute to maintaining a clean environment. He expressed confidence in the capabilities of Nigerians, asserting that they excel in their respective fields.

He urged citizens to shift their focus from complaining about others to proactively generating lasting solutions within their communities. “Rather than pointing fingers, we must take the initiative to address challenges and hold ourselves accountable for our actions in our areas of influence,” he emphasized.

Furthermore, the governor identified the family unit as a critical area requiring attention, stating that if issues within families remain unaddressed, broader national challenges will persist.

He highlighted that while policies are essential, the strength of any nation or community is intrinsically linked to the values upheld within family structures.

Sanwo-Olu concluded by stressing that nurturing and strengthening family units is vital for leading the country toward greatness and prosperity.
