The Akwa Ibom State Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno Ph.D has relieved the Director of Power from his office with immediate effect.
The decision came on Thursday evening as a circular signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah was circulated.
The Circular reads, “As part of the ongoing restructuring exercise of this administration, to align with the machinery of Government in the Power sector, to the Arise Agenda, His Excellecy, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno Ph.D, has relieved the managing Director of Ibom Power Company Limited, Engr. Meyen Etukudo of his appointment with immediate effect.
“Engr. Etukudo is here directed to handover to the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Power, who will oversee the company till further notice.
“His Excellency, the Governor expressed his gratitude to the Managing Director of his services to the State and wishes him success in his future endeavors”. The release said.
